2006 AIMS Conference

The annual AIMS meeting for 2006 was held in the spacious Student Union at the University of Arizona. Each poster presenter had two minutes to introduce their topic from the podium, and cash awards were presented for the best student poster in both the physical and biological sciences. Building a Model

A model of cytoplasmic structures involved in polarized cell growth were manually segmented and colorized from cells of the mold Aspergillus nidulans. Cells were prepared for transmission electron microscopy using cryopreparation methods and analyzed in three dimensions with electron tomography. (Robert Roberson)
